Dear
Daddy
I
remember when I was young,
you taught me how to pray,
and
that's all that's getting me through these last days.
It's been a year now since God took you home to stay.
I love and miss you more than I can say.
You know Mama still cries at the
mention of your name.
Her
life without you is not the same.
Those ole memories of my weary past, haunt me still.
Like the time you beckoned for
me to stop and talk to, but I thought then I had better
things to do.
Oh, How I wish I could recall
that day and I still wonder what
it was you had to say.
But I' m going to see you again, some sweet day
and
I'll
thank you for teaching me how to pray.
