This
is my first poem that I've ever written. It is also a
personal testimony regarding an illness that I've had
for about three years now. Through prayer and reading
the Word of God I realized that I don't have to live my
life as a victim of this illness but rather as a gallant
fighter. I got my life back and I now live for the Lord
and through His strength I can have a complete and full
life.
The
Blissful Light
By Rebecca Hart
Night
never ends and the splendor of morning is far away in a
distant plain.
Will I ever find my way through this briar, submersed of
thorn and thistle?
The darkness of my prison is but a stronghold in my own
grieving mind.
Is there a whisper of hope or a glimmer of light to be
found in this eternal woe?
Then a thought of both sorrow and comfort enters my
imperfect mind.
… "For by His stripes we are healed."
He, my Glorious Savior has already made me whole,
through his sacrificial death.
The lies that have enslaved my serenity have now been
brought to justice.
The enemy has poured out darkness upon me,
but my Savior Jesus Christ, through His extraordinary
mercy and grace has brought forth the light.
He is joy, peace, love, power and everything that is
good.
His love casts out all fear and all hopelessness.
The morning has come and has brought the blissful light.
The
darkness has been forsaken and is no more.
