Forever
Changed
Without
warning they struck
At the heart of this land
Hating our people
And for what we stand
Buildings lay in rubble
America is shaken to the core
Smoke rises from the pit
Loved ones are unaccounted for.
Our way of life has come undone
Forever it has been changed
As terrorists sought our peace of mind
And our lives to rearrange.
It was martyrdom they'd hoped for
And heaven in which to dwell
But their souls were lost forever
In a place the Bible calls Hell.
The survivors too, are victims
Their loved ones snatched away
Their dreams have all been snuffed out
It's even hard to pray.
Miracles they had hoped for
Have started to slip away
As officials now are asking
for loved ones DNA.
Yes, evil raised it's ugly head
And we don't know what's in store
But if America keeps her eyes on Him
She'll be strong and whole once more.
Hearts cry out to God above
To comfort those who mourn
And to give wisdom to our leaders
As their battle plans are born.
Our military is ready now
The President has said
America stands united
To face what lies ahead
Yes, we've got a mountain
That we are going to climb
To free the world from terror
And restore peace to all mankind.
Remember these words America
That are powerful as can be
"I can do all things through
Christ who strengthens me."
