"God
is Here to Stay"
by Barbara Keen
When troubles are all around you,
and you don't know which way to go.
Your prayers are sent to heaven,
but the answers seem so slow.
You don't know to fix,
the fragments in your hand.
It seems the 'tempters' laughing,
saying "catch me if you can".
You stand by, watching helpless,
when your loved ones go astray.
You think, "I know who is behind"
the fractures in this clay.
Then your prayers have ceased to flow,
and it seems, you are starting to doubt,
you see wayside travelers, falling behind,
no, God does not count them out.
Then you start to remember, God
who made the stars and sun.
When you've given up on others,
the Father, has just 'begun'.
His eyes are searcing "to and fro',
upon 'his earth' to find,
where his children, are tonight,
telling Satan, "these are mine".
You begin to think, what is the use,
I think it has gone too far.
Perhaps, they will never return,
but heavens gate is still ajar.
The Shepherd beckons, return my child,
I've made a place, for you.
When you come through, the Desert Storm,
I'm here to see you through.
When our patience and understanding
has worn, so very thin,
the Father steps down from his throne,
saying, "I'm ready to begin".
I hope, I never do forget,
the lesson I learned today.
That it is God, who heals and turns,
"His Children," home to stay.
